G.Figueroa.com was started in the fall of 2003 by clothing designer Gloria Figueroa Rose. Gloria has been professionally designing clothing for over 21 years. She started at a very young age designing clothes for her dolls and progressing to making and designing clothing for her friends and family. She attended high school at Skyline Career Development Center in Dallas where she was an enthusiastic and successful design student in the fashion cluster. This is where she had her first fashion shows and made her first trip to New York City. She knew instantly New York was where she would attend college. Doing just that, she attended Parsons School of Design and experienced the best of the best.

Fashion Design has always been an important part of Gloria’s life. Most of her clothing construction skills where accomplished through working in professional costume shops and through her mentor Laurie Haluska, a costume designer out of Washington State. Assisting Ms. Haluska for over 14 years on costumes for ballroom dancers, debutante balls, major motion pictures and the country music band The Dixie Chicks has taught Gloria many aspects of design and construction making her an expert on many levels.

G.Figueroa’s designs are largely influenced by Gloria’s immense love of art, music, design and her addiction to fabulous fabrics. G.Figueroa is built on the idea that women want to have unique and precious clothing and accessories. This is Gloria’s desire, to supply wonderful hand-made items of exceptional quality and unique design to all who dare to be different and fabulous.
